- Fisherman’s View – nice seafood and drinks with a view of the Cape Cod Canal. also has very good seafood market to pick up and cook at home.
- The Pilot House – another nice seafood and drinks place by the canal with live music outdoors most evenings
- Off the Grid – smoked barbecue food truck, all outdoors, often has live music
- Marshland Restaurant – Cape Cod diner food, awesome breakfasts and takeout all day until 8:30 pm; we like their lobster rolls
- Krua Khun Rose – very good Thai food – takeout only, call well ahead
- Sweet Tomatoes – Neopolitan pizza, takeout only

Beaches
- East Sandwich Beach – closest beach, a 15 min walk or pay to park on North Shore Blvd. There are two parking areas. The first parking area is at the corner of North Shore Blvd and Ploughed Neck Rd. For beach access, turn right on North Shore Blvd, go down about 50 yards, and you will see the entrance over the dunes on your left. For the second parking area, take a left on North Shore Blvd and follow the road 1/3 mile to where the pavement ends. There is a public access trail to the beach directly across from the parking lot. All the way to the right on North Shore Blvd is Craven’s Landing, the entrance to Scorton Creek.
- Sandy Neck Beach – just a short drive down Route 6A, has a snack bar, and restrooms, nice for relaxing on the beach, and hiking in the dunes. Paid parking.

- Lowell Holly, Mashpee and Sandwich – old-growth forest alongside ponds
- Wing Island Trail, Brewster – magical walk thru the marsh to a beach, next to the Museum of Natural History
- Fort Hill, Eastham – short walk with beautiful ocean vistas

- Kayaking in Scorton Creek – top local pick – reserve a kayak online for “Sandwich Great Marsh.” they guide you on how and where to get in / get out. 2-3 hours is probably good for a first outing.
- Downtown Sandwich – Glass museum, Hoxie House, Dexter Grist Mill, Heritage Museum and Gardens
- Wampanoag Museum, Mashpee – small museum about native history; then check out native-owned Wampanoag Trading Post and Gallery in Mashpee Commons
